Since then, Dr. Sangani has done many updates and renovations to the hospital and surrounding property. Though Dr. Sangani loves all animals, there are a special few who have stayed near and dear to his heart. The doctor's pets include 5 dogs: Dixie, Moogley, Chombe, Tooshleh, and Bumbley Boy, 2 cats: Cheesey Poof and Peachy, and a few geese, ducks, and chickens.

Lisa Chapman, Office Manager:
Lisa is originally from Pleasanton, CA, but moved to Davis, CA to attend school at UC Davis. Lisa graduated in 2005 with a B.S. in Animal Science and shortly after began working at Southgate Vet Hospital as a Veterinary Technician. It was not long after, that she became our office manager. In addition to working here, Lisa is currently a veterinary student at UC Davis and will graduate with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2013. After graduating, Lisa plans to stay working at Southgate Vet Hospital, but as a Veterinarian instead of office manager. In her free time, Lisa loves to go horseback riding. Her pets include 2 horses: Jessie and Ladee, 1 cat named Skittles, and 1 dog named Freckles.

Trena Tichenor, Supervisor:
Trena was born and raised in Rancho Cordova, CA and later attended Western Career College. Her original dream was to work for the Sheriffs Department, but her love for animals took over, and she started working for Southgate Veterinary Hospital in 1999. She worked here for 7 years and then took some time off for child rearing. We were thrilled to welcome Trena back to Southgate in 2009 as a supervisor. In her free time, Trena loves to ride dirt bikes, go camping, and go to as many muscle car events as she can. Trena currently resides in Rancho Cordova, CA with her fiance Rob, her 3 sons: Shawn, Rian, and Daylin, and their 2 dogs Owen and Nugget.

Maya Rodgers, Technician:
Maya grew up in Sacramento, CA. She completed a Veterinary Assistance program in Arizona and has been in the Veterinary field for over 7 years. Maya joined our team at Southgate Veterinary Hospital in early 2010 as a Veterinary Technician. In addition to working here, Maya is also working to achieve a degree in Business Economics. In her free time she likes to read, watch movies, vacation at the beach and spend time with her family and pets.

Dixie, Welcome Crew:
Dixie is a 10 year old female Australian Cattle Dog mix. Her brindle coloring gives her a striking appearance, and her calm and loving demeanor will warm your heart. You can usually find Dixie in the front waiting area, eagerly waiting to greet whomever should walk in the door next. Dixie loves to make new friends of all shapes, sizes, and species, so come visit her soon!
